This newsletter is both very niche and very broad.
Broad
It is broad because it is for developers in a very broad term. I use the word developers in a broad sense as it includes people working on automation, system admins, cloud engineers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and probably there are a few more titles I missed.
In this newsletter I plan to cover many aspects of software development.
- I will cover Version Control and Automation as these are topics everyone needs to be familiar with.
- I will include Testing and Test automation.
- I will include CI/CD (that is Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).
- Aspects of Agile and Extreme programming will be covered.
- We’ll discuss Open Source software development a lot.
It is broad.
Niche
It is also going to be niche newsletter because it is only for people who would like to become better and more succesful developers. People who are ready to put time and energy in it. People who are ready to go beyond passively looking at posts and do the work that is needed.
I know, even reading this page is already too much work for many people.
And the subscription process?
I know in most nesletters you subscribe without talking to anyone. It is very cold.
I would like to know who the readers are.
So please send me an email to gabor@szabgab.com
with the subject:
Subscribe to Weekly Code-Maven
and tell me about yourself:
- What do you do for a living?
- If you are a developer (in the broad term), which programming languages and technologies do you use?
- Which ones would you like to learn?
- Actually I’d love to know which human languages you speak because I am fascinated by thoes as well.
- Why are you interested in the Weekly Code Maven?
- How did you find out about this newsletter?
